Thursday 09/17/20 we took a hike up Blue Job while the driveway got resealed.

It was a beautiful day, and since the driveway resealing was supposed to take a few hours, we stuffed Beau into the car and headed off to hike the backside of Blue Job Mountain.

When we got to the top, it was amazing to see how clear the sky to the east was, contrasted with that to the west. A fine haze hung over the western horizon as dissipated smoke from the raging California fires passed over NH. And, surprisingly, that smoke made it all the way across the Atlantic to western Europe.

It's not a long hike, and Bob and his helper from Bob's Sealcoating were still at it for awhile after we got back to the house.

From the top of Blue Job to the west you can see the smoky haze from the fires burning all the way back in California.
