Taking Care of Mia and a Note From Chuck 02/15/20

I went over to Marissa's today, Saturday 02/15/20 to take care of Mia. Marissa had called last night saying that Mia was sick with high temperature, and wondering if I could come down and sit with her.

Mia parked on the sofa with her... well, puke bucket — her words!

Mia was parked on the sofa when I got there, and that's where she stayed for the day, except for her nap from 1:00 to 4:00. It was a perfect day for a movie marathon: 2015 Jurassic World, 2018 Bumblebee, and 2009 Avatar.

Though running a temperature all day, and a lot of coughing, she really enjoyed the movies. Come to find out that not only did she have a cold, but a pretty nasty ear infection — something she hadn't even complained about.

While I was there, I got a wonderful note from Chuck that so made my day. First, he sent pictures of his and Denise's trip to New York F'n City to see none other than The Eagles at Madison Square Garden! I told him I was totally envious. And I was. And am! What a wonderful trip they had. Sue showed me all the pictures from their FaceBook postings, a few of which follow.

But what was really sweet is the following two pictures and what he wrote: "It was 50 years ago today that something terrible happened but just one year ago, and we think very near to the day, I sent my request to Ancestry... I'm thinking of you today with love and of course want you to know how important, impactful, and wonderful it has been to now have you in my life. Love you dad."

And this is from Chuck and Denise's first visit on 04/25/19 for what would be a wonderful 4 day visit.

And now he is blessed with a brother, a sister, and a niece!
